Tour Itinerary

Day 1 | Monday March 18th, 2024 Accra, Ghana


All Participants will arrive at Kotoka International Airport Accra-Ghana and will be transferred to a lodging hotel in Accra. Bergins Outreach Inc. will give a welcome reception with a cultural display, a chance for participants to get to know one another and an overview of the week's program.

Day 2 | Tuesday March 19th, 2024, Accra, Ghana


A tour of some landmarks in Accra – first the Black Star Square (one of Accra’s most recognizable landmarks), then the Independence Arch, the Liberation Day Monument, and the Kwame Nkrumah National Park (a memorial which honors the life of the first President of Ghana, and great Pan-African who championed the course for Africa’s independence and liberation). For lunch, we’ll make sure to select some amazing restaurants to fill your belly and satisfy your sweet tooth. Dinner will be at lodging hotel.

Day 3 | Wednesday March 20th, 2024


There will be a breakfast at the hotel, then we will journey to Cape Coast to visit Elmina Castle (the oldest European building in Sub-Sahara Africa and one of the largest slave dungeons in the world built by the Portuguese in 1482). You will experience an unforgettable and emotionally powerful tour that will take you through how the castles served different purposes from missionary schools to trade ports and slave dungeons.

You will visit the male and female dungeons that were used to hold African slaves during the slave trade. You will also learn about the powerfully symbolic Door of No Return (the last exit point for slaves transported to the Americas). Then you will enjoy lunch in Cape Coast and return to Accra same day

Day 4 | Thursday March 21st, 2024


After enjoying breakfast and lunch at the hotel, you will spend the day at the poolside to relax and refresh for the remaining half of the trip. You will experience night life in Accra with an outing to Republic bar in Osu - a creative place where like-minded people flock and fold together to share a unity of purpose. Akpeteshie, our local spirit is indeed the "Spirit of the Republic".

Day 5 | Friday March 22nd, 2024


After Breakfast at the hotel, we will visit the Accra Arts Center. Participants can shop for hand-made crafts and artifacts. In the evening, we will paint the town red and enjoy a hosted nightlife tour of Accra by sampling the most vibrate night spots including Alley Bar at Labone, Accra.


Day 6 | Saturday March 23rd, 2024


On our last full day in Accra, there would be breakfast at the hotel and a visit to the Atomic Tennis Club to participate in Bergins Outreach Inc.’s Annual donation event, mini tennis tournament for the children, and an evening reception. It will be an opportunity to put smiles on the faces of youths while making a difference in the community.

Day 7 | Sunday March 24th, 2024


Rise and shine for your last morning in Accra. You will enjoy a marvelous breakfast at the hotel with the remainder of the morning at leisure. Then you will get to socialize at the atomic tennis club with drinks and hors d'oeuvres. After that you will return to hotel, enjoy dinner, prepare for departure, and check out of the hotel.

Note: Every effort will be made to visit all sites mentioned in the itinerary, but due to the possibility of changes beyond our control, tour guide's discretion, sightseeing is dependent on sites being open and available.
